Monday on the Sports Bash, ESPN NBA insider Chad Ford joined me and said one of the guys the Sixers are having some internal debate about is Providence point guard Kris Dunn.

When asked if there was a third guy that could be a part of their internal discussions other than Ben Simmons or Brandon Ingram for said Kris Dunn is a guy they 'really like'.

"He's a guy a lot of people like in the league and point guard is such a difficult position to fill and he is a pure point guard," Ford said on the Sports Bash.  "He's already 22-years old, he's an elite athlete, he can defend multiple positions, there is a lot of love about Kris Dunn - I just don't ceiling of a 19-year old Simmons or a 18-year old Ingram.

So if they are not actually going to take Dunn with the No. 1 overall pick, yet still really like him, there is only one way to get their hands on him - via trade.

Boston currently holds the No. 3 overall pick and the two teams have been connected, according to reports from CSNNE in Boston, the Sixers like Dunn so much that they would be willing to part with either Nerlens Noel or Jahlil Okafor to get their hands on him.

"I'm sure secretly Brett Brown was wishing that that's what he had more than anything else, was an experienced 22-year old floor general," Ford stated.

The Sixers feel they have a surplus of big men, coupled with the Celtics need for a big man makes the two an obvious connection as trade talk heats up just days before the 2016 NBA Draft.

The word from Boston seems to be that they value Noel and his shot-blocking ability over Okafor and his low-post scoring.  Per the Boston source, the Sixers would prefer deal Okafor rather than Noel.
