The Nigerian-Turkish big man hoped that Philadelphia would be the one to call because Bona wants to play for a team that he feels can compete for a championship immediately.

Bona, selected with the 41st overall pick, played two seasons of college basketball under Mick Cronin. He averaged 12 points, nearly six rebounds, and almost two blocks in 33 games as a sophomore in 2023-24.

McCain is heading to Philadelphia because the Sixers believe he walks the line between upside and win-now skills.
