The Flyers have signed forward Chris Stewart from his professional tryout to a one-year, one-way deal worth $750,000, one day after defenseman Andy Welinski was placed on waivers on sent to the Phantoms.

Saturday marks the final time the Flyers will take the ice at Wells Fargo Center before the home opener in Philadelphia on Oct. 9. Once again, there will definitely be a lot of veterans in the lineup. Game time is at 7 p.m.

Following Monday's preseason opener, a 3-1 loss to the Islanders, the Flyers will get right back on the ice for another preseason tilt on Tuesday night on the road against the Islanders.

The third-line winger competition is one of the focal points in Flyers training camp with prospects, veteran newcomers and returning veterans all in the mix.

The Flyers have signed free-agent winger Chris Stewart to a pro try-out. He will attend Flyers training camp this year with a chance to make the roster.
