The Philadelphia Phillies beat the Toronto Blue Jays in both games of their double header. Zach Eflin threw seven strong innings and struck out nine in game one, resulting in a 7-0 win. Bryce Harper hit a monster home-run to highlight the scoring. In game two, the Phils went with a bullpen game and somehow won?! Shocking. Rafael Marchán, who never hit a home-run in his entire professional career, had hit a three-run bomb to tie the game up at 5-5. When down 7-5, Harper came up clutch with double knocking into two runs. Alec Bohm finished the job to take the lead. Hector Neris recorded the save, but not without allowing two men on with two outs.

Sports Talk with Brodes: "The Phillies Bullpen Blows It Again"
The Philadelphia Phillies bullpen has a 7.17 ERA. This is unbelievable. After Bryce Harper, Alec Bohm, and Didi Gregorius go back-to-back-to-back in the first inning. After Harper hit his second home-run of the night, this bullpen does the thinkable. Blake Parker could not help out Aaron Nola in the sixth. Brandon Workman could not do anything. Garrett Cleavinger got shelled. The Mets won 10-6. This team is horrendous!

Sports Talk with Brodes: Phils Split Double Header with Red Sox
The Philadelphia Phillies split their double header with the Boston Red Sox. I AM NOT SATISFIED! They haven't swept a double header since 2012! The Phils had the lead in both games before the bullpen blew it. In game one, Tommy Hunter lost the lead, but thankfully Alec Bohm hit a walk off in the bottom of the seventh. In game two David Phelps allowed a two-run home run to Bobby Dalbec and the rest was history. The bullpen looks to be an issue again along with Bryce Harper being ICE COLD! This Miami Marlins series coming up is so big, I can't even put it into words.

The Philadelphia Phillies win their fifth straight game by taking down the New York Mets 5-3! Joe Girardi gave Bryce Harper a rest day since he is ice cold, hitting 7 in his last 45 attempts. Jake Arrieta threw seven innings and recorded seven strikeouts. What a great bounce-back from his last start which was the shortest of his career. Also, Arrieta hasn't had a seven inning performance in his last 20 starts. In the seventh inning the game was tied. Phil Gosselin and Roman Quinn were a big reason why the Phils took the lead. In the eighth, Jean Segura added insurance and Adam Haseley was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded. Hector Neris got into trouble and Tommy Hunter had his back with the help of Rhys Hoskins' defense. Yes, you read that correctly. Brandon Workman recorded a clean save!

The Philadelphia Phillies win their fourth straight game and beat the Atlanta Braves by a score of 7-4. Scott Kingery hit a three-run walk off home run during a pinch-hit at bat in the bottom of the eleventh inning with an 0-2 count and 2 outs. "He needed that" is almost an understatement. Zack Wheeler was awesome through 5 2/3 innings, but was not helped out defensively by Rhys Hoskins to end the sixth. Throughout the game, Andrew McCutchen and Jean Segura both hit two-run home-runs and the score was 4-2 in the seventh inning. Adam Morgan allowed back to back homers to Ender Inciarte and Austin Riley to tie the game. In the tenth inning, the Phillies had first and third with 0 outs. The top of the lineup failed to knock in the winning run.
