After his release from the Phillies Monday, pitcher Mark Appel expressed his gratitude to the Phillies organization and fans.

The Phillies and Orioles have agreed to a trade that sent pitcher Tom Eshelman to the Orioles in exchange for international bonus pool money.

Former first overall draft pick and Phillies minor league pitcher Mark Appel is stepping away from baseball.

It was a miserable day in Clearwater Sunday.  After being scheduled to play a double header thanks to the all-too-common Florida rainout, the rain got in the way once again in game one.  Phillies prospect Ranger Suarez was knocked out of the game in the fifth inning due to a one hour, 59 minute rain delay after allowing just one run...
