Two third-period goals were enough as the Flyers held on for a 4-3 win over the Chicago Blackhawks in an entertaining game.

The Blues got the lead back 42 seconds after the Flyers tied the game on a goal by Vladimir Tarasenko and held things down the rest of the way in a 4-1 defeat for the Flyers on Tuesday night at Wells Fargo Center for their sixth straight loss.

After scoring with under five minutes to play to tie the game, Brett Pesce got the game-winning goal with 18 seconds left in overtime to hand the Flyers a fifth straight loss, 4-3, at Wells Fargo Center.

A pair of goals by Garnet Hathaway separated by 1:45 turned the 3-2 lead into a 4-3 deficit with 1:12 remaining. An empty-net goal sealed the deal in the Flyers fourth straight loss.

A goal by James van Riemsdyk on a rebound with 4:09 left put the Flyers ahead for good in a 3-1 win over the Winnipeg Jets on Tuesday night at Wells Fargo Center. 

For the second time in just 40 games, the Flyers have lost 10 straight games, taking the 2-1 defeat to the Columbus Blue Jackets.

It’s really become a familiar pattern for a team that is consistently fragile, just waiting for the next thing to go wrong rather than doing the things that can help it keep going right. Just like on Thursday night, the Rangers skill and talent levels became too much in a game that was certainly competitive, but not deserving of the final result.

The New York Rangers stormed right back to tie the game 37 seconds after the Flyers took the lead. Less than three minutes after that, they had the goal that decided the game, taking a 3-2 win on Saturday night at Wells Fargo Center to extend the Flyers losing streak to seven games. 

With the Flyers shorthanded, it was nothing short of a blood bath. The Penguins scored three goals in the first and never looked back, handing the Flyers a 6-2 loss at Wells Fargo Center.

A short trip from San Jose to Los Angeles marks the next stop on this post-holiday road trip, as the Flyers try to extend the points streak to eight games against the Kings.
