Wayne Simmonds announced his retirement on Monday and will sign a one-day contract with the Flyers on April 13.

Joel Farabee scored two goals, including the overtime winner on the power play, as the Flyers rallied back to defeat the Minnesota Wild.

The Flyers return to home ice to start a four-game homestand on Thursday night against the Minnesota Wild.

The Flyers face the Minnesota Wild, who come in on a six-game winning streak. The Flyers, meanwhile, have losses in three of the four games on the road trip.

Flyers forward Tyler Pitlick, acquired in the offseason in a trade with the Dallas Stars, suffered a tear in his left wrist during an offseason workout and had surgery last week. He will begin rehab on Monday, Sept. 2 and be out for approximately four weeks.

The guys review the Flyers draft, analyze the Sanheim and Elliott deals and the Hartman trade, try to project what kind of deals Provorov, Konecny and Laughton could get and look at some possible free agent targets for the Flyers as free agency begins on July 1.

As free agency weekend approaches, Flyers GM Chuck Fletcher discussed the recent moves and upcoming free agency on Wednesday during development camp.

After several weeks of activity, all the wheeling and dealing happening over the last two weeks, the weekend where free agency opens may not be all that eventful.
