Sam Hinkie

The 76ers have insisted that the hiring of Bryan Colangelo to fill the void after Sam Hinkie's resignation had nothing to do with Jerry Colangelo, who is still in house as a Special Advisor to Owner Joshua Harris.

Sixers fans have expressed some concern with the abrupt resignation of Sam Hinkie, coupled with the expected hiring of Bryan Colangelo that Brett Brown's job could be in trouble and current associate head coach Mike D'Antoni would be next in line.

As the dust settles from the Sam Hinkie resignation, how did we get here?  According to CSN Philly's John Gonzalez the issue starts with Sixers' ownership:
