The Flyers close out a four-game road trip on Wednesday night by facing off against the Carolina Hurricanes.

The Flyers are back on the ice to continue their homestand by taking on the Carolina Hurricanes on Monday night.

A game-tying goal by Martin Necas with 0.2 seconds remaining in regulation set up overtime, where Sebastian Aho completed a hat trick just 28 seconds in to hand the Flyers a 5-4 defeat on Saturday evening at Wells Fargo Center.

The Carolina Hurricanes are next to face the Flyers on Saturday evening and are still challenging for the Metropolitan Division title.

The Hurricanes have won eight of their last 10 games entering Thursday, while the Flyers have lost nine of their last 11 games.

Before reaching the break, the Flyers will face a red-hot Carolina Hurricanes team that has won seven straight games, 11 of their last 12, and has not lost in regulation since Nov. 23.

The Flyers claimed Kieffer Bellows off waivers on Thursday, and he'll make his debut with the team on Saturday night when they face the Carolina Hurricanes.

The only Flyer who needed to find the back of the net was Kevin Hayes. Hayes scored twice in the second period, including a power-play goal with 5:05 remaining. That proved to be the game-winner through the third period, as the Flyers claimed a 2-1 win over the Islanders.

As has happened many times before, the Carolina Hurricanes got the last laugh, as Jordan Martinook scored on a deflection with 3:50 remaining in the third for the game-winning goal in a 3-1 loss for the Flyers on Saturday afternoon.

The road doesn't get any easier as the Flyers face another team ranked in the top three in the league. The Carolina Hurricanes await for a Saturday afternoon matinee.
