Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com reports that the Phillies have talked to the Rockies about a trade for Dexter Fowler.  It would be interesting to see what the Rockies would be asking for in return for Fowler - Jerry Crasnick of ESPN.com reported that the Rockies' asking price for him is "sky high" and the outfielder is unlikely to be traded about a week ago...

Staring down a three-run hole as early as the third inning in the latter part of Sunday's day/night doubleheader, the Phillies (69-71) strung together six runs over three innings for a 7-4 winner over the Rockies (56-83).

This time around, it was John Mayberry Jr. The late-inning heroics came after Colorado Rockies catcher Wilin Rosario had two of his four total passed balls in the ninth inning.

Why not call up Tyler Cloyd? No matter what you think of the rest of the season.

In spring training, the Phillies lack of depth was laughable. Really. Legitimate punch line. But if you look around, this club seems an awful lot like one with options. Behind the plate, they've got Carlos Ruiz and Erik Kratz, maybe Brian Schneider...
