Each week, 973 ESPN South Jersey and Prime Events are bringing you the chance to vote for the South Jersey High School Athlete of the Week.  We want to recognize some of the great student-athletes from around the Cape Atlantic League with five nominees.  Last week's winner was Ocean City High School's, Jacob Wilson.

Check out this week's candidates for the South Jersey High School Athlete of the Week:

*Ray Weed, Absegami, Senior - Braves quarterback scored the game-winning touchdown against rival Oakcrest and finished his career as the only player in South Jersey history to total 2,500 career yards rushing and 4,500 career yards passing.

*JaQuan Howard, Cedar Creek - This senior transferred from Pleasantville and carried the ball 28 times for 215 yards plus scoring two touchdowns to lead the undefeated Pirates into the South Jersey Group 3 Championship game this Saturday against undefeated Delsea.

*Trevor Cohen, Holy Spirit - The Senior spartan carried the ball 15 times for 191 yards and set up two touchdowns as Holy Sprit won on the road to advance to this weekend's playoff semi-finals.
