Aaron Altherr made his 2016 debut for the Phillies Thursday Night after being activated from the 60-Day Disabled List due to his wrist injury that led to surgery months ago.  In his debut Altherr had 3 Hits in 4 At Bats with 1 Home Run and 2 RBI and in the process looking very comfortable in the 5th slot in the Phillies lineup.

ESPN.com Baseball Writer Jerry Crasnick joined Mike Gill on Thursday and spoke about Altherr:

"A good defensive player, a big bat with some power, and maybe some holes but certainly an intriguing guy.  It's disappointing that he got hurt but it's nice that he is back, I mean, we will see, they will have a couple more months to assess him.  I don't know if you expect him to be one of your 2 or 3 best hitters but with the power he has, with the defense he has, he certainly can be pretty competent Major League regular and that's one less spot you have to worry about."

Checkout what Crasnick had to say about Phillies options to trade Jeremy Hellickson before the MLB Trade Deadline along with a look around the Majors in the days leading up to the deadline.
