View from my living room:
The game represented a welcome highlight after a lousy vacation to Florida. Our flights to and from Orlando were delayed and it rained every day. We didn’t see the sun until 10 minutes before we left for the airport to come home.

Three stars

1. Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith (6 catches for 99 yards).
2. Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco (19 carries for game-high 89 yards).
3. Eagles running back D’Andre Swift (107 yards from scrimmage).

Eagles’ best play
Smith hauled in a 41-yard pass from quarterback Jalen Hurts to set up Hurts’ go-ahead, 1-yard touchdown run with 6:20 left in regulation.

Eagles’ worst play
The offensive line allowed all five sacks in the first half. Hurts was under constant duress.

Turning point
The Eagles were leading 21-17 with 1:50 left in regulation when Chiefs wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling sprinted past Eagles cornerback Bradley Roby.  Mahomes hit him in stride for what would have been a 51-yard touchdown, but Valdes-Scantling dropped the pass.

Did you notice?
The Eagles are 9-1 for the fifth time in the Super Bowl era.  They reached the Super Bowl the first four times.… The Chiefs were 18-0 when scoring first over the last two seasons.… Chiefs had won 14 straight November games.… Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown had just one reception for 8 yards.… Chiefs committed two turnovers – an interception by Eagles safety Kevin Byard and a fumble by Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce – both happened in the red zone.… The Chiefs dropped three passes on their final drive.… Hurts threw for a season-low 150 yards.… Mahomes threw for a season-low 177 yards.
