Eagles’ best number: 259 (Eagles rushing yards)

Eagles’ worst number: 62 (Yards of Kirk Cousins Touchdown pass to Jordan Addison)

View from my living room:
I prepped for the Eagles game by playing versions of football, baseball, basketball and soccer with my youngest grandson (22 months) Nixon. Poppy also got to take him for a bike ride.

Three stars

  1. Eagles running back D’Andre Swift (28 carries, 175 yards, TD).
  2. Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins (364 yards, 4 TD passes).
  3. Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith (4 catches, 131 yards, TD).

Eagles’ best play
Place-kicker Jake Elliott ended the first half by booting a 61-yard field goal.  That tied his own franchise record set in 2017 against the New York Giants.

Eagles’ worst play
Addison got behind Eagles cornerback Josh Jobe and Cousins hit him in stride for a 62-yard touchdown.

Turning point
The Vikings looked like they were getting ready to score near the end of the second quarter before wide receiver Justin Jefferson lost control of the football near the goal-line.  The ball flew out of bounds at the side of the end zone for a touchback, giving the Eagles possession.

Did you notice?
Swift’s rushing yards were the most by an Eagles' Running Back since LeSean McCoy had 217 versus Detroit on December 8, 2013, otherwise known as the “Snow Game.” … Swift had 28 carries after having one the previous game against the Patriots. … The Vikings had three first-half turnovers for the second straight game, including two in the first quarter.… Jalen Hurts got off to a rough start with an interception.… Eagles defensive end Josh Sweat had a strip-sack and five quarterback hits.
