As the undefeated Philadelphia Eagles get ready to travel to Los Angeles for their Week Five matchup versus the Rams, their defense will be without three players.  On the other side of the field, the Rams Offense welcomes back one of the best players on their roster this Sunday.

On Friday, the Eagles ruled out four players and listed one player as Questionable for Sunday's game.  After receiving an epidural injection procedure to his back, Fletcher Cox is one of two defensive linemen who will be unavailable for the defense this weekend.  Cox has played 69.96 percent of the Defensive Snaps this season and without him, expect to see more playing time for Jalen Carter, Milton Williams, and Jordan Davis on the interior of the defensive line.  Eagles will also be without Defensive Tackle Marlon Tuipulotu, taking away more depth from the Defensive Line.

The other defensive player who has been ruled out for the Eagles this Sunday is Safety Sydney Brown.  Despite being a Limited Participant at practice this week, Brown will miss his second straight game with a Hamstring Issue.  The good news is Eagles starting Safety Justin Evans will be back this weekend after missing last Sunday;s game versus the Washington Commanders.  As expected, starting Right Guard Cam Jurgens has been ruled out after earlier this week it was reported that he is dealing with a serious foot sprain.

The Los Angeles Rams Offense is top five in the NFL this season in Total Yards (1,571) and they are welcoming back one of their best players from injury: Cooper Kupp is set to make his debut for the 2023 season this Sunday.  Kupp is the 2021 AP Offensive Player of the Year and is one of the best Wide Receivers in the NFL, so the Eagles' defense will be tested as he joins the number two passing offense in the league.

The Rams have ruled out starting Offensive Lineman Joe Noteboom with a Groin Injury and starting Left Tackle Alaric Jackson has been listed as Questionable with a Hamstring Issue.  Jackson was a Limited Participant at Friday's Practice after not participating in the practices on Wednesday and Thursday.  A banged up Offensive Line will benefit the Eagles defense unit that is coming into this matchup short-handed.
