The Flyers continued the running of the gauntlet in their recent schedule this past week. After falling for a second straight game to the Boston Bruins on Saturday night, they responded with a win over the Toronto Maple Leafs on Tuesday and earned a critical point in an overtime loss to the Carolina Hurricanes on Thursday.

Just three games remain in the gauntlet, starting on Saturday afternoon against the Bruins again.

On this week's episode of Flyers Talk with 97.3 ESPN Flyers Insider Kevin Durso, Brianna Barretta and Kevin sit down to break down these recent games, the final stretch of the gauntlet, and the recent scratching of Sean Couturier.

Couturier sat out both Tuesday and Thursday as a healthy scratch, just 34 days after being named captain of the team. What is the reasoning behind this and what kind of impact can it have on the locker room?

The recent games against Toronto and Carolina produced more points and helped the Flyers maintain their playoff spot. With just three games to go in the gauntlet, what does the team need to do to continue this?

In the wake of Couturier's scratching and the recent upswing in play, confidence seems to be a key factor to several players and their performances. What players have stood out and why is confidence and energy within the locker room so important at this time of year?
