Former Eagles DC Sean Desai lands new job with Rams

Former Eagles defensive coordinator Sean Desai, who was demoted from the job before the end of the 2023 season, has landed a new job.

According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, Desai is expected to be added to the Rams staff in a senior defensive role for the 2024 season.

Desai was replaced by Matt Patrica before the team's game in Seattle against the Seahawks after his defense gave up 42 points and 33 points in back-to-back weeks against San Francisco and Dallas.

Desai was hired before the 2023 season after Jonathan Gannon left to become the head coach in Arizona.

He spent time in Seattle as a associate head coach and defensive assistant, before that he was the defensive coordinator in Chicago for one season with the Bears.

The Eagles replaced both Desai and Patrica with veteran coordinator Vic Fangio, who spent one season as the defensive coordinator in Miami and before that was the head coach in Denver.  He has also been a coordinator in Chicago, San Francisco, Houston, Indianapolis, and Carolina.
