Mississippi State Bulldogs Defensive Coordinator Chris Wilson called in to Todd Ranck and "The Warm Up" Friday afternoon to give us a first hand look at what kind of a player Eagles are getting in Fletcher Cox.

The Eagles traded up in Thursday nights NFL draft to select Cox with the 12th overall pick.

Wilson coached Cox in the SEC at Mississippi State for two seasons and called Cox "a really gifted athlete" and "he was the reason why I came to Mississippi State."

Wilson's defensive line ranked among the nations leaders in both tackles for loss and rushing defense which is a vast improvement from the previous year.

The Eagles hope to plug Cox in at the defensive tackle position and continue their rotation of Mike Patterson, Cullen Jenkins, Antonio Dixon and Derek Landri.

Mike Patterson underwent brain surgery in January to repair a tangle of blood vessels in his brain, while Dixon will be coming off a major injury to his triceps that wiped out his entire 2011 season.

Wilson has spent 15 years coaching at the collegiate level and is entering his third year with the Bulldogs.
