Sometimes silence tells you all you need to know.

Eagles general manager Howie Roseman had a basic "no comment" while speaking to reporters at the NFL Owners Meetings in Orlando on Monday morning.

"DeSean Jackson is still under contract," according to Jeff McLane when asked about the status of Jackson. Roseman did not answer any other questions regarding Jackson.

With each passing day, it seems less and less likely that DeSean Jackson will return to the Eagles in 2014 with conflicting reports of his release, returning phone calls, and promises made by head coach Chip Kelly.

It's a mystery as to how and why the Eagles haven't handled this situation as delicately as possible. The Eagles are dangerously close if not at the point of no return regarding Jackson and 31 other NFL teams know this, his value is only decreasing at this point.

Either way, things could look more clear on Wednesday when Chip Kelly speaks to the assembled media in Orlando, or not.
