On a day when the Sixers traded away former rookie of the year Michael Carter Williams, the team traded away one of the more promising rookies from this years class, sending K.J. McDaniels to the Rockets in exchange for Isaiah Canaan and a second-round pick.

Canaan is an interesting prospect, he's averaged 12.6 points, 2.7 boards, 2.3 assists and 2.7 treys in his nine starts next to James Harden.  He averaged 21 points and 8.5 assists per game in the D-League.
