With the NFL trade deadline approaching on Tuesday, you can expect the Eagles to be buyers.

With the NFC East wide-open, and the Eagles now the favorites, expect Howie Roseman to look for some help on the defensive side of the ball, likely at linebacker.

CBS Sports NFL insider Jason La Canfora was a guest on the 'Pick Six' Podcast (31:52 mark) and mentioned two linebackers that the team could target.

But they want linebackers, man. If they got an Avery Williamson from the Jets, or if they got a Zach Cunningham or something like that…

Both players would be major upgrades to what the team currently has at the linebacker position.

In six games, Williamson has 50 total tackles, and a sack with the Jets.  He will be a free agent, so this would likely be a rental situation. As for Cunningham, he just signed a four-year, $58 million deal with Houston in August. In seven games this season, he has 71 tackles, and two sacks with the Texans.

La Canfora also stated that the team is happy with their offensive line, and thinks they will be healthy after the bye. He also stated that the they like their wide receivers and are looking forward to getting Dallas Goedert back.
