Slack Tide Brewing Company is one of the oldest microbreweries in Cape May County, founded in 2015 by two brothers: Jason and Tadhg Campbell. Two guys who love beer and are true locals to Cape May County, they started out with just a 27-gallon brewing system and a 6-barrel cellar. They have grown from humble beginnings to be one of the top destination breweries in all of South Jersey and once you arrive at their tasting room, you immediately see why: Their extensive list of beers on tap plus brews they have canned for sale offers something for everyone.

Slack Tide Brewing Company has won several awards over the last few years for their great beers, including their Flagship Beer Angry Osprey IPA, which won the West Coast IPA Category at the 2019 Atlantic City Beer Fest. One of the best IPAs in all of South Jersey thanks to all the characteristics crammed into this beer, Angry Osprey features dry hops that are balanced with the defined citrus flavor and then layered with a hint of spice in a smooth brew that will make you reconsider drinking anything else.

This has a great balance between the crisp flavors of strawberry and mango layered with smooth hops. When I spoke with owner Jason Campbell over the weekend, it was obvious how passionate he is about his Brewery, Cape May County, and customer service. The good vibes and great environment at Slack Tide Brewing Company are reflected in everything they do from the employees pouring beer at the taps to the clean bathroom and floors to the friendly regulars who are a part of the ambiance.
