
Be Prepared For Major Road Construction In Stone Harbor, NJ
The Winter Months are supposed to be quiet at the Jersey Shore, but this Cape May County Town will be making some noise with important road work that will be ongoing for the next three to four weeks.
The City of Stone Harbor has announced they will be starting Road Construction that will have 96th street completely closed select hours Monday through Friday. According to a Press Release from the Borough of Stone Harbor, the Road Work that will begin on Monday January 29th will be to Replace the Water Main and the project will detour traffic for the next three to four weeks.
The heart of Downtown Stone Harbor's Business District, 96th Street between Second Avenue to Third Avenue will be completely closed Monday through Friday from 7 am to 330 pm. All traffic will be detoured around the road work at 94th street and 98th street during these hours daily.
During Non-Work Hours Monday through Friday, the East Bound lane will be open on 96th street and the sidewalks will be open to Pedestrians daily. The 96th street Roadway will be completely open on Weekends from the end of Road Work Friday Night to early Monday Morning.
All Stone Harbor local citizens and visitors are asked to be patient the next few weeks as this important Water Main Construction is happening daily. Traffic Detours and Road Work is expected to be going on for three to four weeks, which means the project may ongoing up to and after Presidents Day Weekend in February.
