Beloved Stone Harbor Restaurant Reopening With New Look After Winter Renovation
For the popular New Jersey Shore Town of Stone Harbor, 96th Street has been the heart of the town's downtown business district for over 115 years.
In the early 1900's, many businesses were built around 96th Street because that is near where the train station was located, and later the motor vehicle bridge was built. The hsitoric Shelter Haven Hotel was constructed in 1912 (today it is The Reeds at Shelter Haven), and the popular movie theater first opened in 1940.
Like many South Jersey Coastal Communities, Stone Harbor's downtown business district have seen changes over the years. If you have walked around the Shore Town located off Garden State Parkway Exit 10, you can see local businesses are ramping up for the 2026 summer season.
Popular South Jersey Restaurant Announces Grand Reopening After Remodel
For the second time in the last 14 years, 96th Street in Stone Harbor is seeing a makeover for the restaurant and bar located next to the movie theater.
Stone Harbor Bar and Grill has seen crews working all Winter for a completely new look for the bar and dining area. On social media, owner Brett Denafo said:
"I have been in the restaurant business for 30 years! This one I am super excited for! Lauren Giordano Gormley is designing the new look of Stone harbor bar and grill!"
Aside from the great food, one of the most popular attractions for return customers is when Stone Harbor Bar and Grill opens their windows across from the bar. Patrons love the fresh air while they congregate with friends and families at the bar.
On social media, Stone Harbor Bar and Grill announced they are having their Grand Opening on Friday, April 17th at 4 pm. This will be the first opportunity for the public to see the full remodeling of the downstairs bar and dining area ahead of the 2026 Summer Season.
