Former Bridgeton Bulldogs football star Markquese Bell has agreed on a new deal to remain with the Dallas Cowboys. Bell signed a three-year deal with a max value of $12 million, with $6 million guaranteed and a $2.5 million signing bonus to rejoin the Dallas defense.

The former Bulldogs star has played both safety and linebacker and has been a key special teams performer for the Cowboys. Bell played in just nine games last season, missing seven games with a dislocated shoulder injury to required season–ending surgery.

In 2023, Bell made 94 tackles in 17 games for Dallas, playing mostly linebacker for the Cowboys.

While at Bridgeton, Bell did a little bit of everything for the Bulldogs offense, playing both quarterback and wide receiver. As a senior, he threw two touchdown passes and rushed 145 times for 885 yards with seven touchdowns.

Meanwhile, on defense, he had 76 tackles and two interceptions as a defensive back, which is what got him recruited to play at the University of Maryland. Bell left Maryland and landed at Florida A&M Univeraity and signed with the Cowboys after going undrafted in the 2022 NFL Draft.

Now, Bell has gone from an undrafted rookie free agent to getting a three-year deal with up to $12 million.
