The Flyers top line for most of the season has been the trio of Noah Cates, Tyson Foerster, and Bobby Brink. On Tuesday night, they showed it in a big way.

Cates had two goals and three points, Brink had a goal and four points, and Foerster had a goal and three points as the Flyers rolled to a 6-1 win over the Penguins at Wells Fargo Center.

The Flyers got on the board just 3:56 into the game. Off a rush, Rasmus Ristolainen fired a one-timer for his fourth goal of the season to make it 1-0.

At 12:19, the Flyers added to the lead. Cates ripped one from the slot off another rush, scoring his 11th of the season to make it 2-0. Jakob Pelletier got an assist on Cates' goal for his first point as a Flyer.

Through 20 minutes, shots were 14-6 Flyers.

The Penguins cut into the lead at 6:09 of the second. Philip Tomasino got a step on the Flyers defense and finished off the rush on a backhand to make it 2-1 with his eighth goal of the season.

The Flyers got the two-goal lead back at 11:55 of the period. Foerster scored his 16th goal of the season on a one-timer off a nice feed from Jamie Drysdale to make it 3-1.

In the final two minutes of the period, the Flyers broke the game open with two goals separated by 10 seconds. Cates scored his second of the game on a rebound to make it 4-1 with 1:05 to play. Then Brink scored his eighth goal of the season, as Cates' centering pass banked off of him and in, to make it 5-1.

Through two periods, shots were 29-16 Flyers.

Owen Tippett joined the party with his 17th goal of the season at 6:06 of the third.

Sam Ersson finished the game with 23 saves on 24 shots in the win. Alex Nedeljkovic stopped 32 of 38 shots in the loss.
