Brooks Restructuring Deal to Help With Cap
The Eagles have restructured another contract to help get them to the $182.5 million salary cap number.
This time the Eagles have restructured the deal of right guard Brandon Brooks.
The team has been restructuring deals to try and become cap compliant by Wednesday's deadline.
They have already reworked the deals of Darius Slay, Jason Kelce, Isaac Seumalo and Javon Hargrave.
When healthy, Brooks is one of the best offensive linemen in football. He will be 32-years of age when the 2021 season begins.
Brooks missed the entire 2020 season due to an Achilles injury and was Brooks was Pro Football Focus' top rated guard in 2019.
Therw was some talk that the Eagles were getting calls about the the three-time Pro Bowl guard. However this restructure should keep him with the team for the 2021 season.
Brooks also tore his right Achilles in the 2018 postseason, but when healthy, he's one the best in the game.
Brooks should anchor an offensive line with Lane Johnson, Jason Kelce, and Isaac Seumalo .
Brooks is signed until the 2025 season.
