The Flyers opened their 2026-27 season Wednesday night as the marquee matchup for the TNT on national television game of the week. The Flyers were not ready for prime time tho - The Flyers were humiliated at home by their arch enemy Pittsburgh Penguins 7-0.  Then on Thursday night, the Flyers played the Devils, and while the Flyers played better, it still wasn’t good enough, losing in overtime 3-2. The Flyers surrendered 84 shots in two games! Not Good.

The Phillies season came to an abrupt end Thursday night in Atlanta. The Braves eliminated the Phillies after Philadelphia had a dramatic victory in game 2.  But in Game three, they just couldn't catch up to the Braves after Atlanta scored three runs in the first inning thanks to a Home Run by Michael Harris off … Who else, Aaron Nola!

The Eagles had a bad lost on Monday Night Football against the Chicago Bears. The Birds were scorched on defense, and backup Quarterback Andy Dalton’s Interception in the endzone was evidence the Eagles were not going to win.  However, with all the hype for the Phillies making the playoffs and the most anticipated Flyers home opener in years, the Eagles embarrassing loss kind of got loss in the noise of a busy sports week.
