It’s an exciting weekend for Philadelphia sports fans starting with the Sixers are officially locking in their spot for the NBA playoffs.  Thanks to their win on Wednesday Night over the Miami Heat, the 76ers will face the New York Knicks on Saturday night for Game One of their First Round Playoff Series.  You can hear Tom McGinnis call all the action on 97.3 FM ESPN South Jersey.

This weekend in The Locker Room with Billy Schweim we will break down the Sixers-Knicks series and get answers to the important questions about the Sixers who have won nine games in a row!  Can they keep it going?  Is Joel Embiid ready for a deep playoff run?  Is this Tyrese Maxey's time to shine?

The Phillies swept the Rockies out of Citizens Bank Park and I attended Wednesday night's game.  Next up the Phillies welcomed the worst team in major league baseball, Chicago White Sox, for a three-game series.  Ranger Suarez and Christopher Sanchez have pitched well this season, with a combined era of 2.13 between the two starters.  Leadoff hitter Kyle Schwarber through his first 19 games is hitting .230 with five home runs and Trea Turner is off to a nice start hitting .329 with four stolen bases.  Currently two games behind the Atlanta Braves in the early going, the Phils look to continue their winning ways against the Sox.

The Eagles are preparing for the 2024 NFL draft with the First round starting Thursday night April 25th.  Philadelphia currently has eight picks in this year's draft, including the 22nd pick in the first round.  Will Howie Roseman and the Eagles move up to get a prospect they covet or stay at 22nd overall?  The Eagles GM has a reputation for wheeling and dealing on draft day so Eagles' fans will be tuned in.  We will talk about it all this weekend in The Locker Room with Billy Schweim.

On Saturday’s show, Mr. Does It All Josh Hennig and former Kansas City Chiefs Wide Receiver Dave Klemic join me in the studio.  We will talk Sixers game on Saturday Night and their first round playoff opponent the New York Knicks.  The Knicks dominated the Sixers during the regular season going 3-1 but Joel Embiid was not available for all of those games.  In the Knicks three wins, they won by an avgerage of 25 points and I already know Josh will tell me why my stats are wrong.  The Sports Book Consigliere Dave Sharapan checks in from Las Vegas with his NBA Playoff picks. Plus we will ask Dave Klemic about his perspective on the 2024 NFL Draft.

On Sunday’s show, my Locker Room Youth Movement is back in studio: Producer Danny Ryan and "The Intern” Andrew Leeds join me to debate the weekend in Philadelphia Sports.  We will react to the Sixers vs Knicks Game One action.  Every Sunday throughout the Baseball season we go “On the Mound” with former Phillies Pitcher Tommy Greene brought to you by Blitz’s Market in Ocean City.  Tommy talks about the Phillies Homestand and previews Sunday’s game.  As we get closer to the NFL Draft, we will hype you up for it!  What will the Birds do on draft day?

All that and more this weekend in The Locker Room with Billy Schweim, heard every Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to Noon on 973 ESPN Radio South Jersey.
