After the Flyers 2-1 Shootout win in Overtime versus the NHL's top team, the Washington Capitals, Philadelphia is now two points ahead of Detroit for the final Wild Card spot in Eastern Conference Standings.  The Orange and Black had a record of 9-3-2 in the month of March.

Flyers Radio Analyst Steve Coates said Thursday on The Sports Bash that there is something special about this team:

"You win a Shootout finally? My goodness that's like borderline miracle....There's something special about this team, everything is coming into place right now. They're not relying on the Girouxs and the Voaraceks to win hockey games, everybody's involved. And I tell you what, I think that it all starts with the guy behind the bench. I think Dave Hakstol has done a spectacular job of molding this team. This is the same team, outside of Gostisbehere and Gagner and also Radko Gudas cause he was hurt last year, but outside of that its the same team."

Checkout what Coates had to say about the maturing of Claude Giroux, the Flyers up coming schedule and his thoughts on the impact of Sam Gagner and Nick Cousins.
