I did see one victory today. Our trivia team, Movin’ On Up, earned a win at Nauti Spirits Distillery behind captain Karen Weinberg (my wife), friends Ronnie Liddy and Frank “Tater” Smith, and myself. Tater, a diehard Eagles fan, was not in a good mood upon hearing that I had predicted an Eagles victory.

Eagles’ best play

Their best play came off the field, when the team honored former quarterback Nick Foles, who led the team to victory in Super Bowl LII in 2017.

Eagles’ worst play

The Falcons took a 15-10 lead late in the third quarter when wide receiver Darnell Mooney broke away from Eagles safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson for a 41-yard TD.

Turning point

The Eagles had a chance to take the early lead in the first quarter, but coach Nick Sirianni eschewed a field goal attempt from the Falcons’ 9-yard line. Jalen Hurts’ fourth-and-4 pass toward tight end Dallas Goedert fell incomplete.

Did you notice?

Eagles RB Saquon Barkley dropped an easy pass in the fourth quarter that would have either resulted in a touchdown or a first down.… Hurts threw another terrible pass that resulted in an interception at the end of the game.… The Eagles’ pass rush provided very little pressure on Cousins. DT Milton Williams had the only sack.… Eagles WR A. J. Brown missed the game with a hamstring injury. DeVonta Smith had 7 catches for 76 yards...In his last two starts against the Eagles, Kirk Cousins has Six Touchdowns, ZERO INTERCEPTIONS, 69.8% Completion percentage (51 completions on 73 attempts), and 605 Passing Yards.
