Eagles injury report: A.J. Brown and Johnny Wilson listed as DNP
The Philadelphia Eagles had a relatively clean injury report released Wednesday ahead of their Week 3 game against the New Orleans Saints.
Arizona only listed wide receivers A.J. Brown and Johnny Wilson as did not participate because of hamstring issues.
No other players were listed on the team's injury report, which was an estimation since the team participated in a walkthrough.
Head coach Nick Sirianni was asked after the game on Monday Night if Brown would miss a few weeks, which was reported during the ESPN Monday Night Football broadcast, to which he said, "We'll see. I don't know that yet. You know I won't give you that information yet because I don't know. We’ll see how that goes."
Quarterback Jalen Hurts admitted that losing Brown had a big effect on the Eagles' offense, which resulted in the team scoring only 21 points in the game.
“Obviously, he's one of the best receivers in the league," Hurts stated. "Of course, he's definitely missed, but it doesn't change the trust that I have in everybody else to step up. I think we had, you know, guys step up in a big way."
Without Brown, DeVonta Smith was the team’s leading receiver, with seven catches for 76 yards and a touchdown.
Replacing Brown, who had five catches for 119 yards and a touchdown will be no easy task.
If Brown misses Sunday's game as expected, the team could try to get new receiver Jahan Dotson more involved. Through two games, Dotson has just one catch for six yards. Slot man Britain Covey caught six passes but had just 23 yards in the game.
One other guy would could get more involved in the offense is tight end Dallas Goedert, who has seven catches for for 69 yards this season.
