Eagles injury report: Pair of Eagles Safeties and Wide Outs banged up

The Philadelphia Eagles only listed four players on their Thursday injury report ahead of Sunday’s matchup against the Carolina Panthers.

A pair of safeties, Reed Blankenship and Sydney Brown missed practice on Thursday, along with tight end Dallas Goedert.

If Blankenship isn't cleared to play, expect to see Tristin McCollum play alongside Chauncey Gardner-Johnson in the Eagles secondary with rookie Andre Sam an option as a backup if Brown can't play. 

As for Goedert, reports have indicated that he will miss time, after being listed as a DNP for the second day in a row it seems unlikely that he will play on Sunday.

"We'll see on Dallas as the week continues on," Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni stated on Wednesday.  If Goedert can't go, expect to see C.J. Uzomah backup Grant Calcataerra at tight end.

"He [Uzomah] just brings veteran reliability, and, again, bringing guys together on the football team," Sirianni explained.  And then, he's had some big production where we know if we can throw him the ball, he can do something with it and make plays. And then what he does as a blocker."

The Eagles were also missing a pair of wide receivers, Britain Covey and rookie  Johnny Wilson, who were listed as limited participants. With DeVonta Smith expected to return, the team could use Johan Dotson in the slot with Smith returning to the outside. Rookie Ainia Smith could be an option in the slot as well.

Six other players were listed as full participants, including running back Saquon Bakley, guard Mekhi Becton, defensive tackle Jalen Carter, cornerback Darius Slay, wide receiver DeVonta Smith, and edge rusher Josh Sweat, all are expected to play on Sunday.
