The Eagles have named Jalen Hurts their starting quarterback for this Sunday game against the Saints.

Carson Wentz will be the backup.

"I have come to a decision and I am going to go with Jalen Hurts this week against New Orleans," Eagles coach Doug Pederson said in a statement from the teams official twitter account. "I looked at the whole thing and decided that for this week to look for that spark again to try to get the team over the hump.”

Hurts completed 5-of-12 passes for 109 yards, one touchdown and an interception in the Eagles' Week 13 loss to the Packers, adding five carries for 29 additional yards.

Wentz of course has struggled all season long and at 3-8-1, with just four games left in the season, Doug Pederson is turning to the teams second-round pick over the former No. 2 overall pick.
