The Eagles will be missing at least three starters and possibly another on Sunday as center Jason Kelce, guard Evan Mathis and linebacker Mychal Kendricks will all miss the Giants game.  Linebacker DeMeco Ryans is listed as questionable and expects to be active for Week six, but acknowledged it's not a sure thing.

Ryans didn't practice on Wednesday this week after sustaining what the team called a groin injury on Sunday against St. Louis. Just how unlikely is it that he plays Sunday against New York?

"I hope, but I don't know.  We'll see what happens.  If there is one guy that I wouldn't count out of anything, it would be DeMeco," Eagles head coach Chip Kelly explained.  "One thing about DeMeco, is he's extremely honest with you.  He'll tell you if he can go or can't go.  That's exactly what he told the trainers on Sunday.  We'll see where he is.  It sounds like he's progressing, so we're hopeful for that, but we'll see what happens in these next couple days of training."

So, if Ryans can't go on Sunday night, the Eagles would have to go with the three-headed monster of Emmanuel Acho, Casey Matthews and first round pick Marcus Smith in the middle of their defense.

Another pair of Eagles who will not play in the game on Sunday night are running back Chris Polk and special teams ace Brad Smith. Both players help out on an Eagles special teams unit that has been on of the best in the league.

The good news for Philadelphia? Wide receiver Jordan Matthews, who missed practice on Friday with a "private matter" will play in the game on Sunday night.
