Eagles Waive WR Paul Turner
PHILADELPHIA (973espn.com) - The road to 53 began Friday with the Eagles waiving/injured wide receiver Paul Turner, according to CSN Philly.
Turner developed into a fan favorite last summer as a sure-handed receiving option on a team plagued by the dropsies. Eventually, he worked his way on the roster and caught nine passes for 126 yards in four regular-season games.
A push for a 2017 roster spot was derailed, however, by a fractured scapula suffered early in camp.
The Eagles reached an injury settlement with Turner so he will not revert to injured reserve if he clears waivers.
