For the first time since shortly after the 2021 season ended, Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni and Executive Vice President/General Manager Howie Roseman spoke to the media about the future of the team.

Many were interested in hearing from both men because of the seemingly never-ending rumors about the teams quarterback and replacing him with a higher-profile veteran.

However, both reiterated that Hurts was their guy.

"There's no doubt about it," Roseman stated. "I think when you talk about all the things we talked about at the end of the season, nothing has changed. I think what really has changed for us is the opportunity to add."

"We have to continue to add good players. We have to continue to make sure that we're doing everything we can to maximize our players' ability to be successful and, certainly, that starts at the quarterback position with Jalen."

While Roseman gave his support for Hurts, he was asked about the the possibility of adding a quarterback in the draft or via a trade, specifically Deshaun Watson.

"We have Jalen Hurts, who's a 23-year-old quarterback, who led his team to the playoffs, and he's going to get better and better and better," explained Roseman. "He's going to do everything possible to get better, and we have to do our part in that."

"He led us to the playoffs, and obviously, we want to go further than that and we're really confident that Jalen is a guy that can help us do that," Sirianni added.

The chances of making a move for a veteran QB seems to be more and more remote, but the rumors won't go away.  Speaking Wednesday, Seatlle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said the team has "no intention" of trading Russell Wilson. As for Watson, according to reports, the Texans "don’t plan to lessen their asking price, which has been five to seven assets, including three first-round picks."

"In terms of players on different teams, no matter what position, don't feel comfortable, can't talk about players on other teams," Roseman said.
