For the first matchup of the Eagles versus Cowboys this season, Philadelphia will be without some important role players when these teams kick off at 425 pm on Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field.

The Eagles have ruled out four players for this Sunday's game against a 5-2 Cowboys team that has the second-best Scoring Offense in the NFL this season (28.1 Points Per Game).  This will be the third straight game that Bradley Roby has missed due to a Shoulder Injury after he was specifically signed to help the Eagles' Secondary which is already short-handed.  Without a clear starter at Nickel Cornerback, we will see how Philadelphia matches up with the Cowboys' high-powered offense.

Even though Cam Jurgens' practice window was opened this week, the Eagles ruled him out this Sunday because he is not fully recovered from the Foot Injury that landed him on the short-term Injury Reserve.  In his absence, Philadelphia has gotten solid play from Sua Opeta at Right Guard.

But Opeta is dealing with a Hip Issue and missed some of this week's practices, so if he is not 100 percent this Sunday maybe the Eagles need to start Rookie Tyler Steen against a Cowboys Defense that has allowed the third-fewest Total Yards in the NFL this season.

Even though most people expected Tight End Grant Calcaterra to miss Sunday's game because he is recovering from suffering a Concussion, the absence of Running Back Boston Scott is surprising.  Scott has not practiced this week due to "Personal Reasons" which has people sending thoughts and prayers for the 28-year-old Running Back.

The Cowboys have not ruled out anyone for Sunday's game but one starter is listed as Questionable: Two-Time First Team All-Pro Tyron Smith is listed as Questionable because he is still recovering from a Neck Injury.  Smith missed last week's Cowboys game against the Rams and due to injuries has only played in 21 games since 2020.

With Tyron Smith not practicing Wednesday and Thursday but a Limited Participant on Friday, the Left Tackle position is in limbo because his backup is also dealing with an injury.  Chuma Edoga is also listed as Questionable for this Sunday's game as he is dealing with what the Cowboys are calling an "Ankle/Knee Issue".  We will see if Philadelphia's Defense can take advantage of a banged up Cowboys Offensive Line, something they were unable to do last week against a Washington Commanders team that played without their starting Left Guard.
