A day after the Eagles had to cut down from 80 players to 53, the team is bringing back many of those same players to the practice squad.

The Eagles announced the signing of 14 practice squad players early Wednesday afternoon. Here’s the full list:

Notes:

• Philadelphia signed 14 to the 16-man practice squad, but really they’ll have 17 practice squad spots as Leo doesn’t count towards a roster spot as he’s part of the NFL’s International Player Pathway Program.

• The biggest name on the practice squad is Anthony Harris. Having Harris on the practice squad gives the Eagles a veteran presence at safety and since he doesn't play special teams, they can call on him if there is an injury.

• The team has three receivers on the practice squad with Cain is more of a wide receiver, Covey could be used in the return game with Jalen Reagor no longer here and Allen is a speedster who offers big-play ability.

• The team added Ian Book as a quarterback, but did bring back Reid Sinnett back on the practice squad. To make room on the roster for Book, the team waived former third-round pick Davion Taylor. Taylor has had injury issues, making just 43 in 21 games with the Eagles.
