PHILADELPHIA (973espn.com) - The Eagles need to make some room for their pending undrafted free-agent class and that process started Tuesday when the club waived/injured a pair of players, defensive tackle Aziz Shittu and wide receiver Dom Williams.

The designation means that Philadelphia will have to come to an injury settlement with the players before releasing them. Shittu is battling back from a knee injury while Williams is dealing with an Achilles.

An undrafted free agent out of Stanford last season Shittu was hurt by the addition of seventh-round pick Elijah Qualls, while Williams was buried on a depth chart that added two receivers in free agency -- Alshon Jeffery and Torrey Smith -- as well as two more in the draft, Mack Hollins, and Shelton Gibson.
