End Of An Era: Atlantic City Bar And Grill Calls Last Call
If you grew up in the Atlantic City area, you have likely been to the Atlantic City Bar and Grill, often referred to as the AC Bar and Grill.
Located on the corner of South Carolina and Pacific Avenues, the AC Bar & Grill has been an institution in the Atlantic City restaurant, bar and entertainment scene since the 1970s. The bar transformed from a pizzeria to a landmark bar in the city, but it recently announced they have called last call.
A Google search says the bar is 'temporarily closed" but a social media post asking if anyone knew what happened to the AC Bar and Grill had a response from the owner Gino Garofalo saying they sold the place.
"Time to retire, it's been an incredible ride, and now its time to sail into the sunset."
The place goes back to the 1970s and has been a go-to spot for locals, out-of-towners, and even sports stars and celebrities have been spotted just wanting to get a late-night bite to eat and a drink at the popular establishment.
The menu had a bit of everything, Italian-inspired dishes, seafood, wings, pizza, and more. If you wanted something AC Bar & Grill had it and usually had a full bar with a good time to go along with it.
So what takes its place? That is unclear at this time, but check back, if we hear something, we will let you know.
