PHILADELPHIA (973espn.com) - Eagles tight end Zach Ertz has been medically cleared to return to action after suffering a displaced rib in Philadelphia’s Week 1 victory over the Cleveland Browns.

Ertz recorded six catches for 58 yards in the season opener despite suffering the injury early in the contest.

Doug Pederson called the injury a week-to-week situation but it was pretty clear that the Eagles were targeting the week after the bye for Ertz’s return and the Stanford product confirmed to reporters Monday that he’s been OK’d to return to practice on Wednesday.

In other positive injury news for Philadelphia, veteran cornerback Leodis McKelvin also told reporters it looks like he will be able to play on Sunday in Detroit.

Like Ertz, McKelvin has also been out of the lineup since leaving the Week 1 win over the Browns with a hamstring injury.
