Boxing returns to Atlantic City on Saturday when Philadelphia-based promoter Manny Rivera of Hard Hitting Promotions stages his third show of the year at Showboat Hotel.

Nine bouts are scheduled, topped by the 10-round main event that pits unbeaten Sicklerville super-flyweight Dylan Price (14-0, 10 KOs) against Jeronil Borres (11-5-1, 6 KOs) from the Phillipines. In the co-feature, Trenton welterweight prospect Shinard Bunch (16-1-1, 14 KOs) will face Colombia's Wilfrido Buelvas (22-14, 16 KOs) in an eight-rounder. Bunch is unbeaten (14-0-1) in his last 15 fights.

Tickets range from $60 to $175 and are available through Hard Hitting Promotions Facebook page.

In other boxing news, Millville-based Rising Star Promotions will be holding its first card of the year at Newark's Robert Treat Hotel on Nov. 20. It will be Rising Star's first show in the state since July 20, 2019. They have been promoting shows in Mexico during the last two years.

Several local fighters earned victories over the last two months.

Egg Harbor Township super-middleweight DeCarlo Perez (18-6-1, 6 KOs) ended a three-year hiatus on one of Rising Star's shows at La Terraza Sports Bar in Agua Prieta, Sonora, Mexico on Sept 11. Perez gained a first-round TKO over Mexico's Lauro Cantar (11-15-1, 3 KOs).

Atlantic City heavyweight Rodney Brooks (2-0, 2 KOs), a former basketball standout at Oakcrest High School, earned a fourth-round TKO over Quamayne Jackson (0-1), of North Carolina, at Showboat on Sept. 25. Atlantic City super-middleweight Gabriel Pham (15-2, 8 KOs) notched a first-round knockout over Israel Valerio (15-4, 12 KOs) at Discoteca High Caribbean in Sousa, Dominican Republic on Oct. 16.

Philadelphia bantamweight Christian Carto (18-1, 12 KOs), a St. Augustine Prep graduate, return after a two-year layoff to post a knockout over Colombia's Yeison Vargas (17-8, 12 KOs) on Sept. 10 at 2300 Arena in Philadelphia.
