While the Philadelphia Eagles had a disappointing finish to the season, they have some things to be excited about in 2024.

While the season didn't end the way Eagles fans were hoping, they do have some talent retuning next season that can help get them back on track, such as Jalen Hurts, A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, Jalen Carter and Lane Johnson. But are there other under-the-radar players that can have a better season in 2024 than they did in 2023?

Here are five under-the-radar players who could have a bigger impact next season for the Eagles.

1. Milton WIlliams, Defensive Tackle

Williams will be entering his fourth season with the team, but could have a much bigger role, especially if Fletcher Cox doesn't return. he appeared in all 17 games this season for the Eagles, making 42 tackles, three for loss and had an impressive 24 pressures.

With more snaps, those numbers should rise and the opportunity should be there for the former third-round pick to shine for Vic Fangio.

2. Dallas Goedert, Tight End

While Goedert is one of the better tight ends in football, he was not used very well in 2023, and a broken arm help limit him to just 59 catches and 592 yards this season.

With Kellen Moore leading the offense, Goedert should have a bigger role in the offense, with Moore using this tight ends with increased frequency in Dallas during his time as their offensive play-caller.

During the 2021 season in Dallas, tight end Dalton Schultz had 104 targets, catching 78 balls for 808 yards and eight scores.

Expect Goedert to be a much bigger part of the Eagles offense with Moore in 2024.

3. Nakobe Dean, Linebacker

We know the Eagles like Dean, and expect him to be a part of their defense in 2024, Howie Roseman said so during his end of season presser back in January.

"I think if anything, it's my belief in the players that we have, the young players that we have. I have a lot of belief, and I know Coach does, as well, in Nakobe Dean. I believe in the player. I believe in the person," Roseman said.

We lost two linebackers at that spot, two good players from our Super Bowl team, and we had Nakobe waiting in the wings. We drafted him for that role. Obviously, it didn't work out perfectly for him this year. That doesn't change the belief we have in the player."

But if healthy, Dean could have a bigger year playing in Fangio defense. While Fangio typically likes a bigger inside linebacker, Dean might have to do, and if he can stay healthy, could be in line for a big season.

4. Nolan Smith, Edge Rusher

The rookie had a lost season in 2023, but could be in line for a bigger season in 2024.

New defensive coordinator Vic Fangio runs a lot of 3-4 concepts with three down lineman and four linebackers, two of which are more edge rushers.

He flashed some potential in the Eagles playoff loss in Tampa, making four tackles, 0.5 sacks, adding a QB hit and QB pressure in 16 snaps,

If Smith shows he is bigger and stronger in Year 2, he should be in line for a bigger role next season.

5. Eli Ricks, Kelee Ringo, Mario Goodrich, Cornerbacks

While I'm not ready to one of these guys to stand out, the feeling here is Fangio will make one of these a better player in 2024 than he was in 2023 - and the team likely needs one of them to step up.

James Bradberry had a down season and Avonte Maddox proving to be injury prone, 2024 could be a big year for one of these three guys.

My money could be on Ringo, the for Georgia corner, who was a fourth-round pick in 2023. He has ideal size and showed some poise during the 2023 season when thrust into action.

While I expect the Eagles to add a corner either in free agency or the draft, Ringo is the guy I think can help the defense the most in 2024.
