The Flyers will get some much-needed help between the pipes for the stretch run.

Brian Elliott will make his return from injury on Thursday night against the Carolina Hurricanes.

Elliott suffered an injury on Feb. 10 in a shootout win over the Arizona Coyotes and had core muscle surgery that kept him out of action for six weeks.

Elliott has made 41 appearances for the Flyers this season, posting a 21-11-7 record, a 2.72 GAA and a .908 save percentage.

The Flyers can clinch a playoff spot with a win over Carolina and any form of a Florida loss to Boston on Thursday night.

The Flyers and Hurricanes are set to face off at 7 p.m.
