Take those old # 12 jerseys out of the closet.

The Philadelphia Flyers have acquired forward Simon Gagne from the Los Angeles Kings for a conditional fourth round pick.

Gagne, a fan favorite in Philadelphia, was traded to the Lightning for Matt Walker and a draft pick in 2010. He then signed as a free agent with the Kings in 2011 and won a Stanley Cup with the team last season.

The Flyers are needing front line help with the six week injury to Matt Read and Scott Hartnell recently returning from a broken foot injury.

Other players such as Max Talbot and Sean Couturier are not putting up the same numbers as last season and could be hoping that Gagne provides some much needed goalscoring in front of the net.

The Flyers will host the Washington Capitals Wednesday night and Gagne said on a conference call that he will be in Philadelphia for that game.
