The research team at FlashPicks wanted to find out what are Football Fans' favorite food choices are when watching their team play on game day. They gathered data from Google Analytics and then ranked each state's favorite gameday food choices.

How New Jersey Is Different Than Most of the United States on Gameday

According to a Press Release from FlashPicks, the most popular Football Gameday Food is hamburgers, ranking number one in 25 states and number two in 14 other states. That's 78 percent of the United States loves hamburgers when they watch Football.

The second most popular gameday food for Football Fans is Fried Chicken. Ten states have this as their number one choice for gameday and 19 states have Fried Chicken as their second-favorite Football food. That's 58 percent of Americans who choose Fried Chicken for gameday.

But New Jersey's top two favorite gameday foods are not either Hamburgers or Fried Chicken. What should be no surprise to anyone who has lived in the Philadelphia area, the Cheesesteak is the number one game day food for New Jersey Football fans.

The only other two states where Cheesesteaks are the favorite gameday food for Football Fans are Delaware and Pennsylvania.  The number two ranked gameday food for New Jersey Football fans is Hot Dogs. The national favorites of Hamburgers and Fried Chicken round out the top four for NJ Football fans.
