Buckle up, because this won't be a short ride.

In fact, it could be a long and bumpy one as the Flyers search for Craig Berube's successor.

Flyers general manager Ron Hextall said Friday, after firing Berube, that he'd like to have a head coach in place by the draft, which starts June 26. The problem is that many of the big-name candidates aren't exactly open for business yet.

The Flyers were the third team to fire a coach so far this offseason with more expected to come. Assuming they all become available, here are five candidates who could coach the Flyers starting next season.
