
Route 40 Crash in Hamilton Township Kills Mays Landing Driver
Hamilton Township, N.J. — A 32-year-old Mays Landing man was killed after his minivan left Route 40 and crashed into the woods early Wednesday morning.
Kyle Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene. He was the only occupant of the vehicle.
Crash Details
According to the Township of Hamilton Police Department, its officers responded to Route 40 just west of Hartmann Road around 1:15 AM after a 9-1-1 crash alert.
Officers found a 2017 Chrysler Minivan in the woods off the westbound shoulder.

Investigators say the minivan drifted off the roadway, struck a utility pole, and continued westbound before coming to rest in a wooded area.

The Hamilton Township Rescue Squad, paramedics, and the Mays Landing and Laureldale Volunteer Fire Departments assisted at the scene.
