
Two Hurt After Route 47 Crash in Cape May County
Cape May Court House, N.J. — Two people were taken to a local hospital after a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Route 47 and Reeds Beach Road Saturday afternoon.

Middle Township Police say they were called to the scene around 5:40 PM after a Dodge Journey attempted to turn left onto Route 47 North from Reeds Beach Road and pulled into the path of a southbound Ford F-350 truck.
The two vehicles collided; the driver and passenger of the F-350, a 20-year-old man from Woodbine and a 20-year-old woman from Ocean View, were evaluated at the scene by AtlantiCare EMS and declined further treatment.
The driver and passenger of the Dodge Journey, both 19-year-olds from Philadelphia, were transported to AtlantiCare Medical Center in Atlantic City.
Southbound Route 47 was closed for about four hours while the scene was cleared.

Crash Remains Under Investigation
The crash remains under investigation by the Middle Township Major Crimes Unit, Middle Township Crash Investigation Unit, and the Cape May County Prosecutor's Office.
The Cape May Court House Fire Department, Goshen Fire Department, Cape May County Fire Police, the New Jersey Department of Transportation, and AtlantiCare EMS assisted at the scene.
